Hello I have a vitamix that must be first generation or close to. Use it about twice weekly for smoothies and such. There’s nothing really wrong with it it’s just I want to make perfectly smooth soups and the stick blender won’t cut it. Don’t want to pour hot soup into plastic. Can you recommend a blender with a glass bowl for this purpose? Many thanks!

You really shouldn't blend hot liquids in a blender.  It builds up pressure, and the liquid explodes when you try to open it.  You need to let it cool first, so it's safe.  Since it needs to be cool, your current vitamix should work fine - you just have to wait a while.

I saw this one at William Sonoma store (Hillsdale) and am thinking of buying it. Just need to declutter my kitchen first.
