I like Fletcher. I've seen more recent before and after remediation brain pictures with more detail. Interestingly, the dyslexic students brain activation after were MORE in the area that is where good readers activate than the average reader...I surmise because of balanced literacy teaching, it would be interesting to see a comparison to homeschool or private school students taught with a good phonics program and no sight words.
