Critterfixer
Morning, Accountables! Last week of school before our week off. I need to put together this week's schedules later this morning, get the grocery list done, figure out what this week will look like, and start thinking ahead to what promises to be a fierce December for making anything happen. Sticking to a disciplined list of priorities and letting everything else go is probably what's going to work. But at least two of those weeks have no school scheduled, and I've got family lined up to take care of the boys while I'm working. At least that much is done.
serendipitous journey
Evening, Accountables! 🙂 Last week of school before our week off here, too. I should sketch out our plans for the week this evening and get things set up for tomorrow's school & RPG game night. And breathe.
Critterfixer
Morning. Big day of drafting planned, and the boys have school. By the end of this week, they should both be at the same lesson for Math and Latin. Sometimes one boy works ahead, and the other takes his time if something is long, but it's pretty close most of the time. My neck is hurting today. Adding more walking to my day to stretch.
Mommyof1
School started late. I had trouble sleeping. Hope your neck feels better Critter. We are only doing a 4 day Thanksgiving weekend next week. Regular school math, phonics, penmanship and reading.
serendipitous journey
Last week of our Medieval/Earth Science term. We actually got a lot accomplished this term, and are in good shape going forward. Today's school will run a bit short to allow time for me to get some exercise in (am having pain issues that'll help with, I hope), prep. my character for the game tonight and make dinner + clean up after; the goal is to hit my Term End Minimum list. Languages; piano; history; Christian Studies reviews; math; memory work.
Critterfixer
Morning. Boys are charging into their schoolwork. I'm fixing lunch, and getting as much done this morning in advance of a busy afternoon. Other than that, it's static. Still waiting on revisions to come back, and then I'll come up with some kind of writing schedule that will allow me to handle the holiday stuff, work, and writing without completely losing my mind.
serendipitous journey
Morning! Today: continue with term wrap-up school (essential languages, history, piano, essential English, literature, some science if possible) spend time re-normalizing house, it got a little crazy yesterday afternoon plus, starting tomorrow, we may be losing power for fire-prevention measures so I'd like us squared away exercise: having pain problems, missed a couple days of yoga plan for some fun and some beauty. Something today that everyone enjoys. Younger DS likes math games & piano theory card games. Elder DS has a Nova/documentary he'd like to watch. And I'll try to get some art in our eyes and music in our ears. do a little e-mail maintenance extra credit for holiday planning. Chocolate & tea for holiday planning, too.
Mommyof1
Daddy took her to storytime and the park this morning. Lunch School work. Phonics, penmanship cursive, math and reading. Daddy is going to take her out again for some fun. Mommy is cleaning. Today in the mid 60's so it's an outside day. Not many of these left.
Critterfixer
Morning. Boys are closing in on the last of the work for this week. Tomorrow is our usual short day. I crossed 35K for NaNoWriMo last night, and hope to add 3000 to the total today. I'm almost finished with this short story thing I'm doing. Never again! The short story takes no time at all. The blog posts about the process are just too much to write on top of NaNoWriMo stuff. My neck is a little better today.

serendipitous journey
Morning! @Critterfixer: whoo-hoo 35K!!! Today: trucking along. Languages, piano, math, essential English, some literature, Christian studies, memory work. No holiday planning/prep has happened this week; I ought to at least come up with a list of pie ingredients, as we're bringing the pies this year. Cleaning the house is coming along okay so I'd like to keep our toes in that and get some more done in the garden. Well, accomplish ANYTHING in the yard really.
Mommyof1
She has HS Co-op this morning. She has had Bible time, calendar/telling time and she has read to me. Dad doing OT today.
serendipitous journey
Well: we're doing pretty well on school this week. No progress on yard & holiday prep! That's priorities for you, I suppose. At least we're passably clean, reasonably well-fed, and hitting our essentials. Today's Wish List 🙂 School elder: languages; piano; Christian Studies; independent reading; math younger: WWE, math, ....
Critterfixer
No art today due to rain and busy artists! Work out for me because one of our dogs hurt herself somehow, and I needed more diagnostics to figure out what she'd done to herself. So I spent the morning doing her medical workup, sending out a culture, changing her antibiotics, and that took most of the morning. Home again to write my NaNo words. No housekeeping or cooking today. The boys doubled up their math yesterday so they wouldn't have anything to do today.
serendipitous journey
DH out of town, and a migraine hit in the night. Oh my! so we're in pain management/amelioration mode + school enough for boys + maintaining morale. Today we also need to go to piano lessons, take dog to groomer (this is required in our guardian family contract) and get some groceries on the way home -- that begins right after lunch. I'd planned to take the boys with me to drop off the dog and pick up groceries but may end up leaving them home with some work. Today I'm going to try to hit something in each category and not fuss if I can't finish them: the grocery shopping that didn't get done yesterday exercise all around assess this term/school year so far prep next term go over our bigger homeschool goals make a bucket list of what I'd like to include in our "early modern/chemistry" terms for both boys prioritize health and well-being, esp. for elder who isn't 100% yet section a chunk of work out for the first term cut out 1/3 of it so that the rest actually gets done. !!! or maybe just don't overplan in the first place ... get stuff set up: lesson lists, plans, supplies & supply lists, reading lists, &c. have some sense of what we'll be eating. I'd been able to do a meal box delivery thing for dinners but need to find another solution. work on cleaning, yard, all that jazz. holiday planning would be awesome.
