kfeusse
With my daughter (our oldest) I wanted to start a new tradition in our home..get a new game to add to our collection....so I wanted to ask the hive for some of your favorites. The ages of my kids are 15, 17, and 19. So, shoot me with your ideas...thanks.
LostSurprise
Honestly, we get the biggest bang for Monikers, which is a Charades style game, but each round uses the same cards with less communication (1st round-everything but words, 2nd round-1 word, 3rd round-only gesture, etc.). The funny thing is that the limited pool of words means you're creating in-joke kind of communication with later rounds building on what came before. Some not safe for children material and pop culture stuff but it's easy to remove things before play.
mmasc
Yes to rummy! We love that card game. An oldie but goodie. 🙂

MrsMommy
Sagrada is a new favorite here. They're releasing some new expansions, which is fun. We also love all of the Ticket to Ride Games, Mystery of the Abbey, and classics like Yahtzee.
kfeusse
I am noticing that a lot of board games, like Sagrada or World's Fair 1893 are for only up to 4 players...and we have 5 in our home....so that is super frustrating. Still collecting ideas.
Lori D.
I LOVE Century Golem Edition -- oh.my.goodness! The crystals! Things to fidget with! the cute Miyazaki-like artwork! The crystals! Not too long to play, and different every time! And did I mention -- the crystals! For up to 5 players. Looks like it's only available through the game publisher at present... EmseB
We are really loving Decrypto. It's quick to play, a fun game where you get your partner or team to guess words without the other team figuring out your code.

Still collecting ideas. There is an expansion for Sagrada, which makes it for 5-6 players (there are seven in our family, so we notice stuff like that). I think we've only played it once that way, and it was a lot of fun!

alisoncooks
We tend to go for quick, dice games. Tenzi can be played with larger groups if you have the dice. Our set came with dice for 7 people.
