Also works for husbands who think sewing scissors are good for mustache trimming. They are...but get your own, man!

or paper . . . .

I've read the riot act to a number of current/former household members to DO NOT TOUCH my sewing scissors on pain of (their own) death!

My mom wrote “fabric only!” In block letters on her sewing scissors with sharpie and tied them to her sewing table with a piece of yarn. There were also riot acts read, if I remember right.

In our old house, there was no where to put my craft stuff that I didn’t want the kids to get into except under my bed.  So to keep the kids from going under my bed to get in it, I told them we had a pet  alligator that lived under the bed.  The kids were too scared to look to be sure if it was true or not.  Every kid that came over to our house knew about that alligator (because my kids told them) and my craft stuff remained untouched.

As it turns out, my 5yr old had a pair of scissors in his room today during quiet time.

So. Much. Damage. 😲😩😭😖

The fabric scissors reminds me of this.  My ex called this expression, "The look of death."

The problem with this, as far as I can tell, is that your toddler can still take the scissors and bury them in the sandbox, or stab their sibling, or make them vanish into thin air.  There needs to be a chain connecting them to something.
