Go Phonics vs AAR? Which one would you choose?

We used AAR with my daughter but then I came across Go Phonics and I was thinking of using it with my sons because it includes games for each sound  and it includes spelling, handwriting and a little bit of parts of speech. Does anyone have any experience with Go Phonics? Is it as thorough as AAR? Which would you go with if money wasn't the issue? Thanks!

Well, here's the thing: you can buy everything you need to teach all of your children to read and spell, as well as penmanship, capitalization and punctuation, and simple writing, for less than $50: Spalding. You just need the manual (Writing Road to Reading) and a set of phonogram cards, and you're good to go forever. No consumable workbooks, no readers--you can find all the books you'll ever need in your local library. Both AAR and Go Phonics will teach your dc to read, but they cost oh, so much more, and there are more moving parts.

I have a free concentration game:

There are several free games if you click each lesson and go to the end for games for CAT phonics by Mona McNee:

You can use the cards from Blend Phonics (and it has a lot of supplements) to make fun games.

And, finally, I have a video with ideas to make any phonics program fun, including ideas for the cards:
