kfeusse
We have never used this before, and I want my son to use the Physics videos to help with understanding of his physics course. I am noticing that there are both videos and then what looks like textbook pages for concepts. If he is a video kind of guy, will watching the videos alone help...or does he need to read the textbook pages too? Any tips or tricks for us using this would be useful. thanks so much!
Lanny
He should have an account on CollegeBoard.org and have that tied in with his account on Khan Academy. I believe (but am not positive) they will guide him, to help with weak areas and to skim through strong areas. Khan Academy has a tie-in with College Board for the SAT and my DD used that, almost exclusively for the PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT. Khan Academy is Free, so the price is right. Good luck to him!
Pen
If it’s being used as an addition to another course, presumably with other materials and text of its own, IMO, the videos alone should be helpful. I don’t think he can ignore his own course’s materials, however. If he were using KhanAcademy exclusively as a whole physics class, I think he would need the whole thing. Mom0012
We have used the videos alone to reinforce calculus skills.
