Margaret in CO 25,872
My dd's Cavalry troop, with Fell Ponies uses these. Anyone else with experience with them? They're intriguing.
Selkie 23,119
I'm thinking of getting one - they look so much comfier for the horse than a standard bridle. I just started using a bitless bridle for one of mine and he is doing well with it. What does your dd think of the Micklem? Fell Ponies are gorgeous! They're a favorite of Queen Elizabeth, I believe. EmmaNZ 616
My son uses a micklem bridle for his Appaloosa gelding. They do a lot of eventing together. Both seem pretty happy with it.
Margaret in CO 25,872
Yes, QEII rides Fells now. Dd likes them, but frankly, probably doesn't pay much attention. They don't have much say about their Cav mounts. I'm thinking of a Micklem bridle for another dd as a Christmas present. She's currently riding her 2yo in a bosal.
