How about using these videos to learn Classical Greek?

Recommended Posts

DD says she'd like to learn some classical Greek in addition to doing AP Latin. While searching online, I stumbled upon this set of videos by the Center for Hellenic Studies: https://chs.harvard.edu/CHS/article/display/6417.learning-ancient-greek

They use the Greek: An Intensive Course, 2nd revised edition for the textbook.

Do these look like they might be a good base for her to use for self study?

I've never seen those videos before.

I suggest looking into Greek 101 by The Great Courses.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Which book would you recommend with it?

It comes with it's own workbook. I don't know how texty it is. It was recommended to me as a transition from Koine, which we're doing now, to Classical, by a woman who had both her boys reading and writing in classical Greek in high school. My plan is Greek 101 in 5th and Athenaze in 6th through 8th. This will be after 4 years of Koine.
