Liz CA
I have never taken iron but after this move and all this reshuffling at work I feel completely drained. How much iron should I take daily - better start slow and see if it works. I have looked at Pure Encapsulations which is a decent brand for most items but like to see what you all prefer. ktgrok
Ez melts iron, because if it tastes good I’m more likely to remember it.

Pretty sure that's the form that I have. I use Thorne and my labs post-gastric bypass have been good.
Pen
Are you sure iron is what you’re drained of? I might take a multi vitamin and multimineral with iron rather than just iron.

Not sure at all but I am taking quite a bit already, like Omega 3, magnesium, B12, grapeseed extract, enzymes and my Naturethroid. Today, I could have napped all day. Maybe another day off and a good night's sleep will help as well. I figured a low dose iron boost may not hurt.

Pen
I tend to blow through B vitamins when stressed. Not just B12. I also had a wipe out from low potassium at one point.

My potassium, calcium, protein was on the low end of standard range on my comprehensive metabolic panel tests. My oncologist prescribed potassium supplements.

Monica_in_Switzerland
The only things that has brought up my iron levels (measured with blood tests) has been an iron IV (ferritin?). I just don't seem to absorb iron through my gut.
aaplank
My daughter takes a high quality desiccated liver capsule with every meal. It has made a huge difference for her chronic anemia.
