Noreen Claire
I need to buy a microscope for the fall. Mainly will be used by DS10, but I'm sure DS7 and DS5 will insist on using it as well. Please help me find a good, sturdy microscope that will last through four kids but also won't be too complicated. Thanks!
8filltheheart
I lovemour Brock microscope. It has lasted through all 8 of my kids.
2_girls_mommy
We bought the student microscope from homeschool science tools seven years ago when odd was going into 5th grade. We use it at home and have drug it back and forth to co-op to be used by all students in co-op classes for several years for biology and other science courses. I do keep it in the original box for transporting, and it has held up great. I still have one going through biology this year, and another up and coming (ten years behind her...) and I don't see why it wouldn't keep holding up.
Farrar
Another vote for the Brock. It's really so good.
Smiles
Where do you purchase a Brock microscope? I looked on Amazon and I didn't see it.
Farrar
The real thing: https://www.magiscope.com/shop You can find knockoffs, but they have fewer lenses and I’m guessing the quality is much lower: https://www.amazon.com/American-Educational-7-1304-Magnification-Prism-Supplied/dp/B006582O14/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=prism+microscope&qid=1560923767&s=gateway&sprefix=prism+micr&sr=8-1
