I have 3 girls who LOVE to read. We are taking the summer completely off from school for the first time ever and I know they will spend hours reading. Most of what the enjoy the most is fantasy type stuff. I’m fine with them reading that type of book but I would like to limit it (much like screen time will be limited, to certain hours) and provide them with a list of high quality literature they can read at other times. Non-fiction books will also be allowed anytime. I like the Simply Charlotte Mason book lists but they are short and mostly older books. Can anyone point me in the direction of lists of excellent literature for kids and teens? They are 9, 11, 13, and 15 years old. The younger two are struggling readers so all levels are fine.

Sonlight has summer book lists. I always look through those for ideas.

I also made book lists for my own kids. I’ll paste the links to those below. I chose a lot of fantasy or mystery or adventure books. Many of not examples of fine literature, but they are fun.
