StaceyinLA
If so, what do you think of it? What subjects are you using?
Gobblygook
We tried the LA for grades 2, 5 and 7. I didn’t like having all of the Lang Arts subjects combined. My kids needed more time spent on writing and less on reading, for example. The readers were kind of boring - wholesome literature, but rather dry. We’ve also used a few of the science units and enjoyed those - but as my kids get older I need more advanced content for them, and more opportunity for independent work. They are very teacher-intensive.
scoutingmom
My oldest did the first unit of High School LA 1. I think it looks great, but he is a struggling student and just wasn't getting it done. I had 2 students in Level 3 LA and we all enjoyed it a lot. We did have to take a break for a bit and do a much more independent program because of my husband's health. My kids enjoyed coming back to TGTB and have learned a lot. They are looking forward to level 4 next year, which is more independent. I also had a student in Level 1. She also enjoys it, has learned a lot, and enjoyed coming back to TGTB after the break. We did Unit 1 of History 1 and that went well. Had to change to more independent program (same reason). Plan to do the other units this coming year. We also did a Science Unit - Space. Plan to do more next year.
StaceyinLA
What is TGTB? Sorry - I’m a bit out of the loop.

Melissa in Australia
I have used some pages form the Primer level- I am using them as extra worksheets for the twins on things they need more practice in. We are also using their readers as the twins have a habit of just memorizing text so I keep swapping books
rjand6more
I have used and loved LA PreK-level 2. DS loved the sweet stories which almost always include pets. I do not like it past those levels. I tried level 4 and it was one of the very few curricula I have tossed aside. I gave it 1/2 year and switched to something else. I also really like the handwriting books. The Nature one is cute, too. The science units are just ok, imo.

The art/geography was fun, but got old fast. I did not mind the diagramming. I did not like the rest.:) But, you can look at it all and see what you think. I LOVE that about TG&TB.
