Temporary bed that is comfortable?

I would rather have something besides an air mattress but want the most comfortable. This will be for a semi-permanent sleeping situation. Ive seen the Klymit sleeping pads but Im not sure if they are wide enough for sleep/moving patterns. Something foldable that doesn't break down/flatten quickly?

You could try the REI Camp Dreamer XL or the Exped Mega Mat.  They are both on sale right now.

I've been sleeping on the Exped mat for the last two weeks.  I haven't had to put any additional air in it yet.  My son has slept on both and thought the Exped was a bit more comfortable.

These type of mats are excellent.  They come in or used to come in a double version that would give more turning space.

we have also used a huge llbean Great Dane  size dogbed in memory foam as a temporary sleep location with the Rei type pad to give more length — shared by humans and dog near wood stove during an extended winter power outage to keep warm.  Bodies were on dog bed, human legs and feet on the camping mattress. With sleeping bags. Extremely comfortable!

I have no personal experience, but have been interested in These which are less thick thick than the dog bed, but in more human rectangle dimensions Best Choice Products 4in Thick Folding Portable Full Mattress Topper w/ High-Density Foam, Washable Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01INZBCJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LKT6CbJBXEGZK

Those look great, thank you!

We sometimes use a Coleman cot (from Walmart, about $30) which is sturdy and foldable, but not small. We put a memory foam topper on it.

That’s what we have for our college student when they’re home for breaks. It’s pretty good and nice to be off the floor if it’s an extended visit.

We have this folding bed for sleepover guests, and it seems quite comfortable to me:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BWESBQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It looks like the model we bought is no longer available with Prime, but there is a similar model by the same company:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H559E0U/ref=dp_cerb_3

and lots of other options on Amazon, too.

Thanks.  I have been looking for one.  I am afraid to get it in case it isn't comfortable.

That's where Amazon reviews can really help, I think. I haven't slept on the Zinus one, but my husband, daughter, and I all tried it out briefly and it seems verty comfortable. So far we've only had a 9-year-old girl sleep on it. She fell asleep quickly and slept well, as far as I know. 🙂

If you bought it directly from Amazon and hated it, you could sent it back.

That would be a pain to send back, but yeah.

Costco used to sell one but I don't see it on the site anymore.

Probably you could have it picked up--but it wouldn't be cheap, I imagine. I don't remember ours coming in a particularly heavy or huge box.
