shinyhappypeople
DD#2 is a profoundly gifted creative writer. She's been taught & mentored by the same creative writing teacher for the past 4 years. We'll continue that, of course. However, Homefry does need to learn how to tackle less fun writing tasks: personal essays, research reports, etc. I'd like to find a structured program for her that's complete, open and go, and will prepare her well for college writing. mom@shiloh
I've enjoyed using The Power in Your Hands by Sharon Watson. It's written in a conversational style to the student and instructions and assignments are clearly laid out. The teacher's guide includes a suggested schedule, assignments and a grading rubric for each chapter.
