I've had a Gel Pro brand one for 5-7 years.  I love that thing.  It makes a huge difference when I have to stand in one place and work for a while.  I just have a small one and move it around my kitchen to whatever area I'm working in. They are surprisingly heavy so I wouldn't buy a big one if I was going to be moving it much.

I have one in my bathroom on the tile floors. It makes blow-drying my hair and getting ready so much less painful on my lower back and hips.

Some are flat, some contoured, some seem to have acupressure bumps...

What I have tried is the ones for kitchens.

The Williams Sonoma ones are absolutely fantastic--so much so that I bought a very large one to use as an exercise mat.

The Costco ones are cheap knock offs and don't work.  Massive difference in quality.

That vibrating one sounds interesting!

It does! I wonder if it could turn dish washing into a more pleasurable foot massage experience.

I have this one:

I work for a major department store and spend hours and hours on my feet when I'm packing e-commerce orders or tagging. It makes a significant difference for me. I had to buy my own (of course), and I keep in my car for when they assign me work where I have to stand.

And yes, I have good shoes and SuperFeet orthotics. That helps too.

I have two Gel Pro’s. They are in the kitchen with one in front of the stove and another, longer one, that runs the length of the prep counter and kitchen sink. This is our second set - the first was ruined in a move (the gel came out through a puncture).

The set I have now has lasted about 7-8 years. The backing is starting to peel off and stick to the floor, so I make sure I get it off regularly. I’ll probably replace them after our next room.

i remember buying mine at Bed Bath & Beyond. I used two 20% off coupons and since they didn’t have them in stock, they shipped straight to my house. That was helpful  because they can seem really heavy & awkward if you haven’t unrolled on before.

Does it, or did it when newer, have a vinyl/ plastic odor?

No odor, but it was a Warehouse Deal. The price was right.
