Mom0012
Does anyone use this? If I remember correctly, there is a link on the common app for this. My dd would like to put a recording of one of her speeches on it. If we just use it for that, would that be okay? What other types of things would be okay to put on there? Some things that I was thinking about were a poem and a short story she won an award for. What about hobby-type things?
8filltheheart
My dd used it. She put links to Russian recitations, images of awards, a Russian translation project, and some essays written in French. I don't know how many viewed but at least 1 mentioned her Russian recitation when she was there for a scholarship weekend.

I would think video of something like that would be something they would be likely to look at because it really lets them see the student. Chris in VA
Depends what kind of uni you are looking into. I would say many don't want an extensive portfolio, unless it's art or drama. There simply isn't time in the process to look through a lot of extra stuff. I think your clue would be if they are asking for a portfolio, and if they use the Common App. If you are going for a scholarship, they will have application guidelines you should follow to the letter. It’s been awhile, but I think there is a link on the common app specifically for ZeeMee accounts. The main thing we were thinking to include was video of my dd giving her speech. But, yeah, I can hardly imagine they will want to read more written work. I haven’t heard too much discussion about these accounts though.
