madteaparty
I’ve been looking, and there’s a ton of options on great courses. I’m wondering if anyone has used these or any other video based lectures extensively in an art history class, and if so which were your favorites? Our entire family consumes tons of great courses on audio, and I know how much we like the professor varies widely course to course. i know there’s a Yale open on Roman architecture I would be using; I really like these and wish they had even more topics! RootAnn
I incorporated How to Look at & Understand Great Art into an Art History course (with Khan Academy's Art History & a textbook) for DD#2 last year. That seemed to be the best of the art GCs. DH enjoyed watching the lectures with DD#2 (who is my artist child). There are some comments on that GC and at least one other (a Louvre one) in the pinned GC thread: 1
Farrar
I second that the Khan ones are surprisingly good too. I haven't combed through all the GC ones to know. 1
