Good morning!  It is absolutely pouring today.  Plus I somehow caught DS14's sore throat and fever.

-coffee (lots)
-DS17 off to school
-school with DS14
-pork in crock pot for pulled pork
-read
-early dinner (egg roll in a bowl)
-DS17 baseball game at 7:30 if this rain ever stops

Good morning!

Lots to catch up on today. Yesterday was great - ds18 was home for the day, then we took him back to school and went out to dinner with ds20 - but I got nothing done (other than the 3 loads of laundry ds18 brought home - I think it was every single piece of clothing he owns, plus towels).

  • school w/dd (lots of math)
  • office work (must remember to go online & get our Amex bill, since it hasn't shown up in the mail)
  • barn chores (stalls are a mess)
  • still need to sort through yesterday's mail
  • unpack UPS boxes
  • take vitamins (have been forgetting all week)
  • menu plan - again...(I really need to make a monthlong plan, because I am sick of doing this every week)
  • I am trying to convince dd and dh that we should go get Thai food for lunch - dd is up for it, but dh claims he is too busy
  • stop at Natural Grocers
  • dinner: ??

Good morning! The kids are off to their various adventures today. ds3 is at a tournament, dd2 is at an official visit. dh left for work and I am in my lovely, quiet, mostly picked up house. Woo hoo!

  • coffee/paper
  • write
  • goof around in the garden
  • wash sheets- started
  • knock off the list of chores while playing music loudly
  • hassle my flaky friend into meeting for a beer
  • read
  • Anything I want!

Have a great day!

So far so good.  I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

  • Kid 1 up at 5:45 to study for science quiz.
  • Kid 2 up.
  • Drove kids to school for a science quiz review.  Apparently teacher always gives a quiz review before school.  My kids claim they told me this before ....  I'm not so sure.  Anyway....
  • Cleaned out car.  It always amazes me how fast my kids trash it.  (And yes, I do make them clear their stuff out when I drive.)
  • Cleaned for the maids - downstairs, bathrooms, upstairs hallway.  Started cleaning my room.
  • Discussion about wills/trusts.
  • Emails to teachers.
  • Caught up on emails, social media, news.
  • Finished 2 cups of coffee so far.

To do:

  • More cleaning, mainly in my room.
  • Clean out the critter cage.
  • Lots of work.
  • Put TKD uniforms in the car & switch out kid's cheer shoes that are in there.
  • Deal with the maids.
  • Make a chiro appointment.
  • Start a new box for hand-me-downs for nieces.
  • Try to do some exercise and reading.
  • (Kids have bowling [transported by bus] and TKD [driver will drive them from bowling to TKD]).
  • Pick up kids from TKD.
  • Dinner out - I think I will choose my favorite Guatemalan restaurant, which nobody else likes, but too bad.
  • Watch some shows at home.
  • Read-aloud?
  • Whatever else gets done.

I had another rough night so this morning I am just dragging.

Human care done

Pet care done

Medical care done

I never did get back to the dishwasher yesterday to run it so I need to finish filling it with what I can and run it.  I won't be able to fit everything but it should sort itself out by tonight.

It was a long night. One pack of coyotes came in through the pairs pasture. We don't have pairs out there because there's still 2' of snow. So, all the cows are in the next pasture in. The heavy ewes are up by the house, and the lambs and ewes are at the horse barn. The heifers are in the weaning pen. The dogs went absolutely nuts. Usually, the "puppy" (95+ lbs) is shut in, but my male needed backup. We battled off the coyotes for an hour, and they retreated. Another pack tried to come in in front of the house from the river, but the dogs ran them off around 3:00. I think they mountain lion has been coming down, because Kar the puppy keeps chasing something off about a mile from the house. We are part of the range of the largest male in the county, but he usually stays out at least a mile. I hope dd gets off some shots today.

I started laundry--more to go

arranged to meet a Scout to sign paperwork tomorrow

walk

dinner

read

maybe finish two bonnets

sweep as always

check cows, check sheep

hope we shoot some coyotes today. I hate to, as if you shoot your residents, new ones come in, but we can't keep doing this!

I have an unexpected hour + free due to cancelled soccer practice. Maybe I’ll get it all done, after all.😝

The house is clean, the brain is working, and planning to meet up with my friend (spouses are coming- which is not awesome, but whatever) later tonight. Texted with ds1 and that was nice.

Successful day so far.

Got to do MORE laundry as I slipped and fell in the slop at the haysheds! I didn't want it drying on my dress. What a mess.
