MeaganS
DD8 is doing Beast Academy as her primary math program. Today, in the guide, there was a math meet. She loves the math meets because she feels like she's on the Beasts' team. After we were done reading and working on it together, she told me, "I made the same mistake as Grog! That actually makes me feel ok with it, since I'm not the only person who made that mistake." I love that they wrote in the math beasts making mistakes sometimes. It really does help kids feel more ok with the learning process.
Jackie
Yes! I loved the modeling of making mistakes, exploring unfamiliar concepts, and working together to combine their different strengths!
sweet2ndchance
I just started my 6 yo in 2A and we are loving it so far. I'm so glad to hear that mistakes are modeled as well as correct methods. My 6yo is quite the little perfectionist and hates making mistakes, sigh. Seeing his favorite characters make mistakes and how they dealt with it really seems to help him.
