mazakaal
If you use Great Courses Plus, do you have access to the guide books that are normally mailed with the DVDs? Can you download them or something?
Farrar
I don't think you can. You probably have already realized, but there's also fewer courses on Plus than in the regular catalog.
Alte Veste Academy
Yes, you can download the guide books and save and/or print them to view offline. I don’t use the app, but I know you can do it from the full site and the mobile site.
LLucy
Farrar is right -- not all courses are available on Plus, so you need to check availability, if you are set on one or more in particular. For example, I wish Plus offered Economics, 3rd Ed. However, there are also courses on Plus that are not on the regular website, too. An example that comes to mind is Great Guitarists: Stories and Styles (or some such). But you can access the Guide through Plus. There's an icon right under the viewing screen that says Guidebook. We use it all the time, but I have never printed it. HTH -- LL (Ok, I see now I'm late off the mark, but I'm posting anyway! Farrar
Thanks for asking this. I kept using the app and I thought it was a missing feature since they have so much less content overall. That's really good to know.
TarynB
And they keep adding new courses to Plus every month, so it is getting better and better all the time. Apparently the new content includes one new series from National Geographic per month too.
Farrar
Except, I'm almost positive they've removed some courses too. I think it's a great service though.
