Hive anesthesiologist? Question about endoscopy and hair coloring

My son's idol is a youtube personality named Dan TDM. Dan has blue hair. When the child life specialist at the hospital gave DS6 a doll to show him what was going to happen on the day of his endoscopy/sigmoidoscopy DS gave it blue hair and named it Dan TDM. Now, my question is, is there any reason it would be a problem for me to put some temporary, brush in, blue dye in DS's hair (just the top/front) tonight if his endoscopy is tomorrow? I promised him I'd take a picture of him in his hospital gown and the doll in its hospital gown and send it to DanTDM via social media and I KNOW he'd get such a kick out having blue hair like the doll and the real Dan. And frankly, DS has been having a heck of a time with life lately, is significantly anxious about the procedure (although better after his tour and meeting child life) and may be looking at a huge dietary change, and darn it I'd like to do something to make him smile.

But if it is like nail polish or something and a no-no I won't mention it to him. I can't think of any reason it would be bad...he's not having an EEG, and it says it won't wipe off on stuff, but if it's an issue we won't do it.

I can't think of any reason not to. Nail polish interferes with pulse ox readings which is why that is a no go.

Right. And before our EEG he couldn't have hair gel or anything, but they told us that ahead of time. Since they didn't say anything about hair, I'm thinking it's probably okay.
