MrsRobinson Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 I use my crock pot multiple times per week so I guess I should have seen this on the horizon after 12 years. I came into the kitchen to switch it from high to low and its dead. I tried plugging it in an outlet on the other wall and that didn't work either. I moved the food to slow cook in the instant pot but I'm not thrilled about that because I've read that the flavor isn't the same slow cooked in stainless steel. And I don't have the glass lid so I can't peek at it without losing precious heat and steam. I was just coming back here to ask this! 😂 I washed the crock and its been in my way on the counter all day. I hate to throw it in a landfill but I don't know what to do with it! If not, you can use a cast iron griddle as a cover. It’s great for baking things slowly in the oven. Like pot roast or beans.
