Pen
I need to go once between now and Christmas, probably best if Saturday or sooner because running out of milk, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables. When tends to be least crazy for roads and grocery stores/ Supermarkets? There are two possible stores each 45 minutes away, approx, so I am not in a situation to just drop by at any time. Pawz4me
For avoiding crowds -- The sooner the better, and the earlier in the day the better.
SKL
During business hours. Otherwise Thursday night or Saturday night. I occasionally make the mistake of going on Saturday mornings. Yikes.
prairiewindmomma
I like 6 am if I am headed to a 24hr store. Everything has been restocked and fresh and very few people are out.

2ndGenHomeschooler
I’m planning to go tomorrow morning as soon as the store opens. Hoping that helps me avoid crowds. Also hoping I have everything on my list so I don’t have to go again!
gardenmom5
I plan on picking up my last minute things on friday - saturday/weekend will be really crowded. so will monday and stores close early anyway.
happi duck
I'm planning on Sunday afternoon or Monday! I know it will be super crowded but I need fish and would rather not buy it before then. Dh will probably drop me off because the parking lot will be full. I *always* end up shopping at peak times so I've decided to embrace it and call it a tradition! CAJinBE
I went today and it was already crazy. Plus I didn't realize the chickens that I bought expire on Christmas Eve. I guess they have to spend a day or two in the freezer. :( Unfortunately we don't have any 24hour stores here.
Arcadia
Sunday mornings before the church service ends. It is crowded on Saturday mornings here as people drop kids off to activities and then go to the supermarkets and grocers.
SamanthaCarter
I did clicklist last night and picked it up at 7am this morning.
historically accurate
My goal is to make the shopping list today and go tonight when DH comes home so I don't have to haul kids. They're teens & tweens, but I think it'll be easier if it's just me. Tomorrow we have a medical appointment a distance away, and DD is working the church nursery all weekend/Monday, so tonight it is! Sherry in OH
I'm planning to get groceries tomorrow morning. I will need to go to the bakery on Monday morning and can stop at the grocery if necessary, but I am hoping I won't need to do so.
May
We’ll head to Costco Saturday morning and be there when the store opens.🎄
regentrude
Early mornings. Was in Kroeger this morning at 8am and it was blissfully empty. Late evenings are quiet, too, but I fear the produce selection won't be good that time of day. Heatherwith4
I did my big pickup yesterday afternoon. If I need anything else, I will get it Sunday morning early. After that, I hope to stay out of the stores until 12/26 at least.
lailasmum
I usually go as early as they open on what ever day I choose. It tends to be less stressful and I avoid Christmas Eve.
CTVKath
I'll be doing my usual weekly shopping tomorrow morning at 7am when they open. It's usually blissfully empty and everyone is cheerful although I know there will be more folks tomorrow.
historically accurate
Sent in a Walmart pickup order - I can pick it up tomorrow at 8 am before I head out of town. I will hit Aldi tonight, and get the special gluten-free items from the big grocery store tomorrow on my way home. I think I have a plan; now I'll just have to cook everything... You may be in the middle of restocking and can snatch things off the pallets. 🙂 ETA: For a more reasonable suggestion, can you get away after 8pm or even 9pm? Hopefully, the crowds have thinned out a little by then. Traffic is definitely much lighter at that hour in my area. Trader Joe’s restock often from 7pm but they sometimes run out of the non-organic chicken drumsticks which we like.
