KungFuPanda
Soooo, I have the fruit/veggie strainer for my kitchenaid mixer. What are the odds I can skip peeling, cook the potatoes, and send them through this? In theory, it could work like a ricer. Has anyone tried this? Do I need to be my own guinea pig? Jean in Newcastle
Haven’t tried it. But I could see how it would work in theory. Let us know!
Martha in GA
I don't know if your idea will work, but I no longer peel potatoes : ). I use red potatoes and mash them with the skin on. Although, I have to admit that, if I invite someone over for Thanksgiving, I'll probably peel my potatoes...
KungFuPanda
I think I will test drive this before Thanksgiving. We’re going to the Keto house and the other family that’s going is also Keto. It’s up to me to bring the starches and save the children. ? I’ll be bringing a few critical dishes and I want to streamline it. So that’s stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, rolls . . .
kbutton
If I recall correctly, I had to peel apples when I used my KA strainer to make applesauce. I would think the potato peels would jam things up. Hmm...curious how it goes for you.
