Common App question to the counselor and signature

Here is the question: How long have you known this student and in what context?  Since I am the mom, do I just answer "18 years and that he is my son and student"?  I feel like I'm asking a dumb questions, but I just want to make sure that I answer it properly.

Another question regarding signing of the counselor letter and transcript. Do you actually hand sign the letter and transcript and then scan it for uploading? OR do you sign it electronically by typing your name on the signature area?

Yes. I am the parent, known student since birth.

I typed my name as the signature. No issues.

I didn't do the Counselor Recommendation in the format of an actual letter, I just typed the text into the Written Evaluation box. I don't remember "signing" it at all, so I guess if there was a place to sign it I must have just typed my name.

I did use an actual signature for the transcript, but I just signed a blank piece of paper, scanned the signature, and then pasted it into a box on the bottom of the transcript. Then I output the transcript as a PDF and uploaded it.

For the signature I used a google drawing program and my mouse to scrawl out a reasonable signature.  Then I copy/pasted it into my document.
