JennyD
(Apologies for posting this on the high school board, as it's in reference to my 8th grader, but I thought you folks would have the most up-to-date information on this.) I would like my 8th grader to take the SAT sometime this fall. For religious reasons he will need to request Sunday testing, and we will have no problem getting the required paperwork for that. There are testing sites for my city listed for each of the possible Fall 2018 dates. However, is a site obligated to administer a (1) Sunday test to a (2) homeschooled (3)non-high school student on any weekend they are giving a Saturday test? The College Board says: >Sunday test dates immediately follow each Saturday test date, unless there is a conflict with a religious holiday. Do I have to call an individual test site ask them if they're willing to do this, or do they just have to accommodate him for our chosen date? It is possible that one or two students at one or two of the sites might also request Sunday testing, but it's also entirely likely that he would be the only one, so I can imagine a site being unwilling to accommodate if they don't have to. Thanks for any advice! Edited August 16, 2018 by JennyD
Arcadia
What I know is that my local Seventh Day Adventist high schools are the ones hosting the Sunday testing dates. I could go to CollegeBoard website and see which schools are hosting the Sunday dates. (ETA: Nevermind can’t see the Sunday test sites now) You would need to use the mail in registration option for an 8th grader though. Both the website and the registration booklet seem to say that one registers for a Saturday date but then requests a Sunday administration. What I am wondering about is whether this is like AP tests, in which I have to call the testing site myself. RootAnn
It sounds like they figure it out for you. But you have to do mail in registration the first time.

Nope. CollegeBoard does the assignment of test sites apparently from RootAnn’s link (https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/special-circumstances/request-sunday-testing) “Get the Student Registration Booklet for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests from your high school counselor. Enter the number 01000 for your first-choice test center code and leave the second choice blank. Include the signed letter from your religious leader with the registration form. Mail your registration and payment by the late registration deadline (for mailed registrations). If you’re testing outside the United States, your documents must be delivered by the deadline for international registration. ... If a Sunday Test Center Closes If a Sunday test center must close, the SAT Program arranges for a makeup and notifies the registered students.” However if you want to know which are the probable test sites, try calling the religious high schools especially if you foresee having to travel long distance to a test site. For example my local Seventh Day Adventist high school has the SAT listed on their events calendar e.g. http://www.mtnviewacademy.org/pro/responsive/tools/includes/events/event_view.cfm?detailid=225807&event_type=renweb&memberid=2168&eventid=1492&categoryid=
