Bambam
I'm trying to help a friend find a way to purchase several of Firelight Books high school options. She contacted them, and the person she spoke to said they didn't sell individually to homeschoolers, but she could purchase a set of 10 books/student books and use those - but at roughly $600/subject, that is too pricey. She has looked at their samples and it would work very well for her - enough so that she wouldn't have to modify everything! (BTW, this link is also on the list from THSC that Kinsa shared in the topped sticky post. https://www.firelightbooks.com/categories/HIGH-SCHOOL-CURRICULUM%2C-GR-2{47}4-RDG-LEVEL/ Has anyone attempted to use their books and managed to get them for a good price? Any other suggestions? TIA
kbutton
I haven't heard of these books, but if her local school uses them, she could ask about borrowing them. In some places, the local public schools make available (and in some cases are required to make available), curriculum for homeschooling families to borrow.
