Guest
Something I thought might be a useful read for anyone contemplating private genetic testing through these and other companies of this kind. Lawmakers are asking DNA-testing companies about their privacy policies — here's what you should know when taking genetics tests like 23andMe or AncestryDNA http://www.businessinsider.com/privacy-considerations-for-dna-tests-23andme-ancestry-helix-2017-
4KookieKids
My husband and I were talking about this recently because of the SPARK ads that keep kitting him up on Facebook. I feel like we’re close enough, technologically, to being able to get dna data from the spit on bottles or cups like in gattacca that I’m not sure how how all this genetic testing is actually going to go down and if we’ll just see a black market crop up dealing with analyzing spit samples even if we had ironclad privacy regulations on official dna testing like 23andMe.
