RootAnn
Quite a few changes announced at UChicago at the same time - the full tuition to families making less than $125k, new scholarships for some groups, and the two minute video introduction. The part of the article at Inside Higher Ed that I thought was most interesting was how few colleges require the writing portion of the ACT or SAT (including recent colleges to drop that requirement like Yale, Harvard, and U San Diego). ETA: Looking at the website, it looks like homeschoolers are included in the 'test optional' aspect of admissions. However, the way the website reads, everyone is still encouraged to send their scores & homeschoolers are still encouraged to send AP & SAT Subject scores. Likely, if you don't send your scores and you don't have a compelling hook, you won't get in. Admission to UChicago will likely continue to be highly competitive in reality.
