Crimson Wife
I would rather see a monthly or annual subscription fee for unlimited courses (with full and partial scholarships available for individuals who qualify) than nickel-and-diming per course. The MOOC platforms as a whole are worth paying for, but any given course may not be. I would hate to pay up front for a course that I decide after watching a few lectures from is not worth continuing.

When I take a MOOC I can't see paying more than $20 or so because I tend to take them for refresh or some information, I have only fully completed 1 out of 5 I started. DS was 0 for 1 in HS (real school started back up so MOOC was abandoned). It did reel good to finish that course but I was in much better health when I took it. Some folks in the article supported "real" tuition charges probably in the hundreds of $ range.
