AimeeM
I subscribed to Premium, hoping that would get the blasted ads off the page -- but that hasn't worked (and it was, quite literally, the only reason I subscribed to Premium). I'm not tech savvy, so is there something I can do to make the ads disappear?
Lori D.
Can't help with how to make the ads disappear, but that's the reason I stopped listing Schmoop as a resource to people asking for literature guides or literature support, and I very rarely use their site anymore myself. : (
Miss Tick
Do you have an ad-blocker installed on your web browser? I was using Shmoop last week and didn't notice the ads. Maybe my blocker is working well, or maybe I am just oblivious. If I remember correctly, in my web browser there is a settings menu in the top right corner. I dug around in there and it offered me a number of add-on apps to choose from. I chose a standard one that was well rated by a lot of people. Occasionally a web site asks me to disable it, but over all I've been really pleased compared to surfing without the blocker.
Mimm
Adblocker. It fixes the internet.
Milknhoney
Is there an adblocker for Kindle Fire? I use Shmoop but usually use my Fire - keep it next to me on the sofa so I can read the chapter summaries after I finish a chapter.
