PeachyDoodle
I'm thinking of starting a resume service as a side job. I have done a few redesigns for friends and acquaintances and have gotten rave reviews, so I'm thinking it might make a nice side income. If you've ever used and/or provided resume services, would you help me with a little market research and answer a few questions? Please and thank you! How did the service go about gathering the information to put on the resume? Was the job seeker required to give all info exactly as they wanted it worded, or did the service provide assistance with wording, deciding what info to include/leave off, etc.? How long did the process take? How many revisions did the service allow, with or without extra charges? What types of file(s) did the service provide to the job seeker? (Word document, PDF, etc.) If you feel comfortable sharing, what was the total cost of the finished resume (or price range if you've done more than one)? Job seekers: Was their anything your resume service did particularly well? Anything you wish had been done differently? Resume designers: Any tips or advice for me? Even if you haven't used a resume service, I'd be happy to hear what your expectations might be to any of the above if you did decide to use one. So feel free to respond!
