lexi
I’m a few weeks away from having this baby and I want to think about some support for my tummy afterward. I hate how bad my back hurts for the first few weeks afterward. And I’d love something that makes me look less saggy and lumpy under t-shirts. Any suggestions? snickerplum
I used a Bella Band after my last two and liked the support it offered.
Paige
I got a wrap thing from amazon and it was fine. It did nothing for the horrible post partum back pain- I think it's unrelated to the pooch- but it did help me feel more like myself and felt more secure for a while. I wouldn't buy one again, though, because I really only wanted it for about 1-2 weeks. I think the back pain was from labor, sleeping funky, and using and abusing different muscles while nursing and holding the baby.
EmseB
I used a Bellefit girdle. It was expensive, but I felt so much better with it on. I only used it after #4, but it helped my core weakness and back pain. You could also ask at the hospital for an abdominal binder.
mom@shiloh
Back in the olden days...... my oldest is in her 30's, but when she was born, my mom took a wide cloth and fastened it tightly around my mid-section. Oh, it felt great to have that support. My second pregnancy was twins, and I'm not sure if I could have even stood up without that cloth holding me together! PP have talked about a product that you can purchase, but the idea has been around for a long, long time (my grandma did it for my mom, and my mom is now 96) and if you don't feel like spending the money, a piece of fabric and some large safety pins work as well. ?
