We are taking a trip soon, and I am looking for new audio books for my kiddos. They are 5, 7, and 10. Recent favorites include the Chasing Vermeer trilogy, The Matchstick Castle, The Carpet People, The Wind in the Willows, and Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. Recent duds include The Five Little Peppers and How They Grew...well, I guess that was the only one they didn't like. If your kids liked the above stories, what are some others that they liked? Thanks.

My kids really enjoyed some 'old' books at those ages, such as

E. Nesbitt - Five Children and It, The Railway Children

Eleanor Estes - The Moffats, Ginger Pye, Pinky Eye

Robert McCloskey - Homer Price and Centerburg Tales

Edward Eager - Tales of Magic

The Secret Garden

The Phantom Tollbooth

James Herriot's Treasury for Children, read by Jim Dale

Redwall, read by Brian Jacques

The Trumpet of the Swan or Charlotte's Web, read by E. B. White

Narnia, the regular audiobooks, not the dramatized version.

Seconding E. Nesbit and Pooh!
