mommyoffive
If you live in the state of Wisconsin and have kiddos who were under the age of 18 on December 31st, 2017, you may be happy to hear that you’re eligible to claim a $100 Child Sales Tax Rebate Credit per child! Due to a budget surplus of almost $400 million for the state of Wisconsin, Governor Walker and the State Legislature have determined that some of the surpluses should be returned to taxpayers in the form of a $100 Child Sales Tax Rebate. Pretty sweet, right?! Keep in mind that the application period is from May 15th through July 2nd, 2018. Visit this site for more details and to start filing your rebate, or read through some frequently asked questions.
Frances
While it’s nice they are returning some money to taxpayers, this is a very expensive and potentially ineffective way to do it. It’s virtually unprecedented for good reason. The cost of doing it separately now is far more than simply including it on next year’s personal income tax return. Also, many people may potentially miss out because it is such an unusual way of returning money and requires an application. From the articles I’ve read about it in national tax publications, it’s being criticized by tax experts on both the right and the left as a political stunt to help Walker and others in the fall elections.

Yes yes. I won't even get into that.
Selkie
Sounds good to me from my vantage point here in the disastrous mess to the south (Illinois).
