hands-on-mama
I’m trying to finish narrowing down our curriculum lineup for next year. I already own RSO Chemistry 1 and also a few volumes of Sassafras. I’m not sure I can truly implement Sassafras like I would want to. I’m also not sure if it’s meaty enough for their ages. From what I understand RSO Chem 1 should be plenty meaty for their ages. Is this correct? Are there any other easy to implement science programs? Am I missing any other options?
desertflower
I think it's meaty enough. The other meaty science programs that I can think of are: Apologia Elemental science BFSU (Building foundations of scientific Understanding) Hth.

Momto6inIN
We find Mr Q very easy to implement, although printing it out every year is a pain. We use it for 3rd-6th and supplement with real books from the library.
carrierocha
RSO Chem 1 is excellent. We are science nerds so when I had a 2nd and 4th grader we added in parts of Ellen McHenry's The Elements and did a few things from the free Middle School Chemistry online curriculum. I’ll give that a look to go along with it!
