goldenecho
What level of AAS do they teach ie plurals (such as babies)? Just curious. Is there any other plural forms they teach along the way (so far, by level two, we've got "s" and "es" endings and sheep and deer)?
MerryAtHope
AAS Level 3 covers changing Y to I and adding ES, and also adding S to silent E words and to vowel teams ending in y (boy-boys, day-days). Level 5 covers plurals of words ending in F and FE (calf-calves, knife-knives, vowel + O (radio-radios) and just ending in O (pianos, potatoes and including Spanish words ending in O and musical terms ending i O), and also has a Make It Plural book in the Student Packet. Irregular plurals are sprinkled throughout the levels and reviewed in the Make It Plural book. Here's their blog article on Making Words Plural which also has a downloadable spelling rules poster on all the ways to make words plural. Oh, they will learn about making Latin words plural after learning Latin roots in Level 7 (ie, cactus-cacti, curriculum-curricula, vertebra-vertebrae...)
