estelleblue
Would you do this? My dd is an advanced reader, and understands depth in literature very well. Has anyone done LL7 with a 6th grader? I already was planning to use it for my 8th grader, and this way I could combine them.
Lori D.
Yes. And what a great bonus to combine 2 students for better discussion! :) LL7 is designed for 7th grade, but can be done with an advanced 6th grader, or with an 8th grader who needs more time for a beginning formal lit. study. Similarly, LL8 is designed for 8th grade, but can be done by an advanced 7th grader, or a lit-delayed 9th grader. Here are samples, in case you have not previously had the opportunity to check out if LL will be a fit for either/both of your students: overview of the program table of contents sample unit from the student guide (with workpages) sample unit from the teacher guide

Momto4inSoCal
My 6th grader has used it this year and it's mostly felt like review of stuff we've already done. Not difficult at all.
SeaConquest
My rising (accelerated) 4th grader will be doing LL7 and 8 with Online G3, so I think it is very doable.
