amyinva Posted April 10, 2018 Share Posted April 10, 2018 My 8yo hates eggs. I need a high protein breakfast recipe. He's sick of yogurt and granola. We do a lot of smoothies, bacon/sausage and breakfast tacos, but need new ideas! I would love a high-protein breakfast cookie recipe, but the one I made was a dismal failure. EmilyGF Posted April 10, 2018 Share Posted April 10, 2018 How about mixing 1 T peanut butter with 2 T powdered PB and some water. Then serve that on high quality bread or fruit. Even mac and cheese can have a fair chunk of protein. Ham steaks Will he eat quiche or spanakopita? My kids love this dish: Cream soup, like cream of tomato soup? Roasted chickpeas? Oatmeal or other porridge, or bread pudding, and stir in flax seed or nuts? Maybe he won't notice an egg baked into the whole mixture? ScoutTN Posted April 10, 2018 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Cheeseburgers! My go-to in the summer, when it's too hot to eat heavy food mid-day. We cook extra servings when we grill anything! Grilled cheese sandwich with meat. Mexican. Taco meat and beans!
