Krista in LA
They seem like such a nice wonderful family and so deserving of that gorgeous house. Wow, it's beautiful.

Johanna
That was so much fun to watch!!! We are a bit bummed because my mom's interview didnt make it on tv...but, my dh was on for 2 secs ..lol! (he was the one standing behind Eduardo when Eduardo was putting in the kitchen sink)! Anyways, enough about us. THe Luthers did great and we are really really happy for them! I gotta tell you, they are still in shock and awe over it all. THey are very grateful for all of it. It was so neat to be a part of the whole process and see it come to life! I still cant belive they can build ALL of that in 7 days:eek:
Cathy in IL
My children and I just finished watching. How lucky you are to have that family in your life! They sound like great people. How fun to actually see the house and barn in real life.
Ottakee
The house seems HUGE. I wonder how much the taxes will be for something like that and if that will become a burden. The barn looked very nice. I guess for me I would have loved a much smaller house that was as well thought out and then the barn.
stephanie
This family has a great testimony! My kids and I watched it together. We are so happy for them!
Elisabeth in IL
The house seems HUGE. I wonder how much the taxes will be for something like that and if that will become a burden. The barn looked very nice. I guess for me I would have loved a much smaller house that was as well thought out and then the barn. We were wondering the same thing as we watched the show. The house is beautiful but we wondered if it would have been better in the long run to build a smaller but equally nice house. I'm also afraid for them that the cost of heating will be too much. Those 18 foot ceilings were awe inspiring but the heat will just rise up and up in that family room. I'm sure the $50,000 fund to run the house will help for a while. Johanna
yeah, when they were interviewing her way back in the summer for the show...she had said that she just wanted a small cottage,LOL! This house was much huger than anyone expected. But, i think the builder does that because they want to show themselved off. As far as taxes, the builder donated 50,000 to help towards all that. So, hopefully that will take some burden off. Renee is defintely a woman who is not materialistic so all of this has been a real change for her. But, she believes that the Lord has many plans to bless others through this experience as well (as so many already have been):)

mktkcb
OK, here's the question we were all asking the whole time we were watching it......What are they doing with the other house??? Is it just sitting there "rotting" so to speak. All they said was that it would be too much work to tear down since they didn't have to. And that was it! I hate when they do that ! Also, they sort of highlighted her husbands shirt that had been hanging on the chair since he died, and then never mentioned it again. I assume they just collected all that stuff and she has it. We did really wonder about the old house, though. For us it was the "elephant in the living room" LOL! Inquiring minds want to know......
