Can parents sue a public school when a shooting occurs?

Yes, I think this is part of the issue that bothers some - it's controlling or limiting the actions of people who aren't doing anything wrong, in an effort to curtail those who are or would.

 

There are times people accept this kind of intervention, especially if there are other reasons to do so, but it's not the same as simply making something that is intrinsically wrong illegal or difficult.
