WendyAndMilo 2,810 Report post Posted February 14 I can vouch for the book used. I used the very first edition (back when it came with a cassette tape) to teach myself and have supplemented my college arabic classes with it. I have friends of friends in my parish who have used CLRC (which is orthodox), but I don't know anything more than that about the school or professor.

crazyforlatin 1,493 Report post Posted February 14 We took semester 1 of Arabic 1 with the previous teacher who had to leave for a post and who brought in Dr. Daniels. The sample class looked great. We still have the books and love them. They come with audio recordings. We're now with a tutor, but debating whether to go back or stay with the tutor. We didn’t continue with CRLC not because of the quality but because that year DD was doing too much work with other foreign languages. The previous teacher gave a lot of homework, and it was rigorous schedule, more suited to a student on a high school level who would be concentrating in one foreign language.
