Joker
Any experience with this? Does it usually go away? Dd has been on it less than a month and only at 25mg. They actually said they would probably be upping it but wanted to start low. She has absolutely no appetite and she's always been the one that even eats when sick. She's 5'7" and around 125 pounds so she doesn't actually need to lose weight. I'm just curious if it usually goes away or if it's something we should ask about changing now. We don't go back for a follow up for another month.
OH_Homeschooler
I remember feeling really keyed up when I started Zoloft or whenever my dosage went up. I was really restless and anxious and did lose a little bit of weight. That did go away after a couple of weeks. Can you just call and ask about it? 8circles
IME Zoloft increased appetite. I don't remember if it suppressed it right away and then changed or if it was like that from the get-go. But I believe that these meds affect people differently so YMMV - I definitely believe it can affect appetite.
Ravin
DD has been on it for years and it never affected her appetite. But she started a long while ago, and takes it at bedtime.
edelweiss
I lost a good bit of weight when I was on Zoloft. I really had to force myself to eat because I was getting way too thin.
