Alice
Anyone have a good recommendation for yoga videos online for a complete beginner? I am interested in trying yoga. I’m overweight and have arthritis so I need something gentle. :) Edited December 28, 2017 by Alice
Teachaheart
The beginner videos at doyogawithme.com are good and free. I especially like Melissa Krieger's sessions. Sun Salutations 1, Morning Hatha Yoga, Hatha Yoga for Self Care 1, Hatha Yoga for Better Sleep, and Oceanside Restorative Yoga are my regular videos.
hornblower
I totally agree with doyogawithme David Procyshyn who started & runs it is lovely, the videos high quality and the instruction is excellent. I tend to do David's lessons. He even has a special set of videos for beginners so you can master the poses and techniques before increasing difficulty https://www.doyogawithme.com/yoga-beginners Edited December 28, 2017 by hornblower

I like to do his release for the shoulders and neck after I've spent a few hours grading essays.

alisoncooks
If you want something super gentle, I recommend Gentle Yoga with Jane Adams. There are several practices on this DVD, and it was developed for the senior crowd but it's really awesome. (I'm only 37 and I use it regularly,)
ktgrok
Not what you asked for, but if you or others want some videos to do with your kids, Cosmic Kids Yoga on youtube is GREAT! She tells a children's story as she does the poses, working them into the story so it is as if the kids are acting it out while she talks. It's really cool.
Soror
I like Yoga with Adrienne, she is very friendly and non-intimidating. My Mom loved Rodney Yee videos as a beginner, if you are looking for DVDs to purchase and not stteam.

HomeAgain
Meghan Townsend. She's very gentle. We have a set of five of her videos through Itunes that include beginner's yoga, an evening workout (Zen In Your Den) and 3 others that ramp up. I did ONLY her 20 minute beginner yoga video for a year because my flexibility issues were so bad and she helps you through every little move. Plus, the little countdown clock in the corner would give me a little boost. :) "Only 5 more minutes, I can do this."
LifeLovePassion
Thank you for all the great suggestions. I am looking forward to being able to start yoga again in the new year (got my post surgery all clear) :)
