theelfqueen
Hanabi, We Didn't Playtest This At All , Bottle Imp, Werewolf, Aquarius, any of the man B Movie games, for something more traditional if you run across the card versions of either Monopoly or Trivial.pursuit they're both really fun stand alone takes on those. plansrme
Poker chips and regular deck of cards, especially if the 17 yo is a boy. My husband plays poker with a group of guys about once a month, and you do not get invited back if you can't play poker well enough to hang with them. Nor would you want to, of course, because it would get expensive.
SerenityNow
Our whole family loves to play one called Cover Your Assets. You can buy it on Amazon. :001_smile:
Miss Tick
1000 blank white cards. Very cheap! You just need a bunch of index cards and instructions from the internet.

mschickie
Box might be a bit big (It would still fit in a stocking) but Five Crowns is a favorite. Sushi Go is another popular one with the kids around here.
Kareni
I mentioned Fluxx above. You can see many of the variations here. Regards, Kareni

Kareni
Another game that we like that is very small ~ Iota The Great Big Game in The Teeny-Weeny Tin I'll also recommend Game of Things Card Game I've seen some tiny games at the local Barnes and Noble store. It's not a card game, but I'll also recommend Bananagrams. Regards, Kareni
importswim
Our group of friends LOVE The Resistance: Avalon. Sounds like it would be a fun game for that age group.
I talk to the trees
1000 blank white cards. Very cheap! You just need a bunch of index cards and instructions from the internet. I had to look this up. It's like Fluxx gone wild! I think I will toss a couple of packs of index cards and some Sharpies in dd's stocking, and we can give it a try!
meganrussell
Blink - the fastest card game ever. My 15 year old loves playing it, but it's so simple my five year old can play.
