Ginevra
I’m planning to make the Medieval Times chicken in the IP again tonight, but I could not lay my hands on chicken quarters. So I bought a whole chicken cut up. (This is actually better for me, because I prefer breasts, but DD likes thighs and I’m making it for her.) Does 5his work, though? Do the small pieces get cooked to death before the large bone-in breast pieces are done? Or would you just do maybe 20 minutes and expect it all to come out fine despite being uneven? MotherGoose
I think the thighs would be fine but the wings might be overdone. Not an IP expert!
NoPlaceLikeHome
There are many recipes for whole chickens so I think it will be fine. Are you browning first and cooking on a trivet above liquid or partly submerged in liquid? Either way is fine but above the liquid is more likely to leave it intact. I find that youtube is a great resource for instant pot recipes especially since you can see results.
