-Multi-level: acceptable for 4th grader, but adaptable for special needs/preKer

-Old earth

-creation & adaptation / or evolution (I can ad lib!)

-Prefer secular over Christian, but see above

-Lots of reading lists, sources for read alouds

-scientist bios as well as experiments

-has a kit with everything I'll need already in it.

I am willing to consider any topic, but son is leaning toward something with experiments (he's been watching too much Time Warp, methinks!)

This is for all boys. They won't enjoy drying/pressing flowers or journaling. They want to "chuck balls" and "blow stuff up" (their words, not mine).

thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sounds perfect! Maybe you should write it :)....I'll be following this thread too to see what people say.

I would think NOEO would suit you pretty well. It is pretty secular, has great books, it is very easy to tweak, and you can get the experiment kits (they come with everything you could possibly need). I've only done the Level I courses, so I can't say anything about the other courses.

My kids, give the thumbs up.
