katilac
I cannot track down this type of scooter, but I know it exists! The scooter has two platforms so both of your legs stay on it, and you wiggle your body to move it instead of kicking off the pavement. Help me! Someone must have one. TABmom
Sounds like a rip stick, though I would compare it more to a skateboard than a scooter.
ikslo
I think she's thinking of a fliker.
wintermom
Plasma car? You don't wriggle your body, but you turn the wheel to make it move.
ikslo
Razor also makes powerwings, which are similar, but in a t shape rather than a v.

GoodGrief
We have something that sounds like that. It's made by the Razor scooter people and is called a Powerwing
mominco
Agree with few others who said Razor Powerwing. We bought it many years ago from Amazon.
Catwoman
Another vote for it being the Powerwing! :)

Jyhwkmama
I own this one. Asked for it for Christmas a couple of years ago. Love it!! My son has one too, but a smaller model. https://yvolution.com/en/Yvolution/Y-Fliker-C5-Self-Propelling-Scooter-p1212.html
katilac
Wing scooter, yes, that's it!! Thank you. This is for me, so I am  at the idea that I would not kill myself on a Ripstik. I keep saying how cool they look, and dh is like, um, NO. The plasma car I would survive, but I think the wing scooter is probably dorky enough. I'm doing it. Full report later . . .
PeterPan
Plasma car is AWESOME. Adults can ride it easily. :D
AndyJoy
We have 4 of the Yvolution Flikers, including one that's mine :). So much fun! I have the C3, and while I don't use the wheelie feature, I like the larger size compared to my son's B3, which technically fits me but feels a bit short for 5'7" me.

I think I can get away with the Razor Powerwing DLX, made for "bigger, taller" kids. A nicer one is definitely something I want to keep in mind for the future. Those of you who own nicer ones, how do you use them? Do you intentionally head out to the park, ride them around the neighborhood, ride them on campus, or what? OhElizabeth, the plasma car might be next . . .
