Just Kate
I desperately need to buy 13yo ds some new bedding. Our family dog sleeps in his room, so would love to find something that washes well. Any suggestions that won’t break the bank?
Ottakee
Not great for fashion but my teens that age slept with a fitted sheet and then either 1-2 fleece blankets or a sleeping bag....no top sheets as they didn't want to less with that.
lewber
My teen DS also just uses a fitted sheet and fleece blankets. We have the t shirt type sheets I think I got at Walmart. Sam's club has the softest fleece throws every year.
SparklyUnicorn
Walmart has reasonably priced stuff. I just get basic fitted sheets and comforters. He also has a fleece sort of blanket. All from Walmart I believe. And all of it can be easily washed.
Stuart
I got my son a sheet set from amazon basic line. $18 for the set. Have held up well. Got a blanket and quilt at tjmaxx or Marshall’s.
AK_Mom4
Ha! Same thing here for teens. All mine have preferred a fitted sheet and multiple fleece blankets. Makes washing easy.
theelfqueen
Target has solid colored micro fiber sheets that are durable and affordable. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
prairiewindmomma
Who knew that fitted sheet + fleece was a thing? That's what my teen and tween boys prefer as well.
Laura Corin
Fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover. All washable, all from Ikea.
HomeAgain
Hit up the end caps at Target now that back-to-school sales are done. For a 13yo boy I'd really recommend a mattress pad, fitted sheet, top sheet (no microfiber), and some easily washed blankets. Teen boys have funk, the kind that permeates everything. You want to be able to throw everything in the wash and minimize sweating at night, so stay away from the microfiber.
Baseball mom
Got bedding sets at walmart for not very much. I was having to buy 2 so I was looking for a deal. The bag had complete sheet set, comforter, pillow shams & 1 set had bed skirt. I just let them go down the aisle and pick something they liked. Has held up for several years so far. Heathermomster
Fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover. All washable, all from Ikea. We do this too!
MEmama
Fitted sheet, fleece blanket, comforter, AND a quilt. He likes to be warm. :)
desertstrawberry5
I thought I was clever. We all use a fitted sheet -we prefer jersey, and fleece blanket. With extra fleece throws if it gets cold(it usually doesn't here).
theelfqueen
My 12, 16 and 22 year old sons all use microfiber sheets regularly without issues (though 12 year old prefers flannel once it is cooler. The 22 year old stuck with cotton for a while when he was having serious acne and wanted to bleach them regularly. But he liked microfiber better and switched back. J-rap
I'd probably get a comforter with a duvet, because you can easily remove and wash the duvet. You can get fairly inexpensive ones at IKEA, and I've gotten them at JCPenney online too.
Liz CA
Fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover. All washable, all from Ikea. This. And they won't break the bank. You can also order online but there is a shipping charge. It may still cost less than bedding bought elsewhere.
Stacia
Fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover. All washable, all from Ikea. Same here. Except we live in a warm climate & my ds runs hot so he often uses the duvet cover without a duvet in it (basically the equivalent of two sheets to cover up with). We add the duvet just for the couple of months it is cold.
trulycrabby
Gee, great minds think alike! DS13 has a fitted sheet, an off-white cotton washable quilt, fleece blankets and a Great Pyrenees on his bed.
